Hi Gabrielle welcome as a new player in Gothenburg HC, how does it feel?
- It's very exciting to be embarking on a new chapter of my hockey career especially in a ligue such as the SDHL. Having the ooportunity to play with and against women from all over the world will provide a really enriching experience. Overall, I am looking forward to get to Gothenburg and participating in the clubs 5 year plan.
Family; (also dogs age and breed)
- My Family consist of my parents, Bruno and Rachel as well as my two sisters; Genevieve and Mathilde. Also, we have two cats. One is named Pax and the other is Xiao Bao which means little leaopard in Mandarin.
Former clubs as players?
- My last team was the University of Toronto's Varsity Blues.
What will you bring to Gothenburg HC as a player and as a person?
- I will bring a level headed perspective to all the challenges our team will face this year. Also, a very supportive and open minded attitude towards the development of other players as well as my own.
Now you will be part of next year's squad, what qualities do you think are important in an ice hockey player?
- I think it's really important for hockey players to have an elevated level of compete. Wanting to win at every stage of the game whether it's a battle in the corner or a race to the puck. Also, having high hockey IQ is always helpful as it allows one to make the best decisions and play based on the abilities of your teammate as well as yourself.
Göteborg HC has started that we want to make a restart and build a team with a clear idea, how do you think about your role in building a team with a strong us?
- When a team is rebuilding and has set goals that it wants to achieve you have to align your personal goals with the teams. I plan on doing whatever it takes to make sure we do better than the year prior and set ourselves up for as much success as possible.
What are you most looking forward to playing in our SDHL team?
- I'm really looking forward to being able to keep playing with my friend and teammate from the University of Toronto. Being able to play in a competitve league such as the SDHL is going to allow me to keep playing the sport I love at a high level.
What are your main strengths as a player?
- My main strenghts as a player is play making, Whether it's to set up a goal in the offensive zone or to breakout. Making the right pass at the right moment is the aspect of my game that I have mastered the most.
What do you want to develop as a hockey player?
- I would like to develop my fine skills such as stickhandling. Being able to achieve the plays I have in mind would be able to elevate my game.
What are your expectations for the coming season?
- My expectations for this season is that it will be a challenge to create momentum for the club and that a complete team rebuild will force all of us work our hardest but also cohesively with one another.
Do you have a role model? Describe why
- My role model is my mother as she has faced many challenges in her life but always has managed to overcome them. Her favorite saying is "What are you going to do about it?" which has become almost of a moto in my life as she has always encouraged me to face any situation with the mindset to focus on what you can control and that every situation has a solution if you are willing to put in the work.
What is your passion?
My two passions are Hockey and Fashion. Ever since I was a child I have loved both and hope to do something related to one or the other at any and all points of my life.

I Gabrielle får vi en spelare som kan spela både forward och back. Hon är bra på båda planhalvorna. Hennes passningsspel är mycket bra både breakouts och poänggivande passningar. Hon tycker om att tävla och utmana sig själv och det är en egenskap vi vill att våra spelare i GHC har, det bidrar till att ta laget och föreningen framåt.
